But O/A welding skill is at least 50% transferable to TIG welding. O/A kits are cheaper. You don't need anything big, you're not going to be welding 1/2" plates at the very beginning anyway, so smaller kit that gets you to be able to weld 1/8" coupons, and make a welding table with tubing will get you the basics you need to learn how to TIG.Welding is not hard.
